NEW INKLING: SO THESE BOXES AND OTHER SHAPELY, AESTHETICALLY APPEALING CONTAINERS SIT ON YOUR HEAD, TIED DOWN WITH A RIBBON/SCARF UNDER YOUR CHIN. IT’S PURPOSE IS TO HOLD YOUR BELONGINGS AND ACCESSORIZING OF COURSE.

I HAD AN INKLING(11/17/09) ABOUT WOOD, AND/ OR WOODEN RECTANGLES ON THE LEGS LIKE GOALIE’S HUGE SHIN GUARDS THAT I SKETCHED OUT, BUT DON’T LIKE IT, SO UNLESS I RE-SKETCH IT (WHICH I DOUBT) I’VE JUST MENTIONED IT.
I ALSO HAD A INKLING STARTING YESTERDAY ABOUT GLADIATOR TYPE BODY ARMOR AND THE PLEATED SKIRT STYLE. I WILL WAIT IT OUT A BIT TO PAN IT OUT A BIT,
TODAY I FEEL LIKE THERE IS GONNA BE A BOOM IN HEAD WEAR. DRIVING I HAD A THOUGHT ABOUT THOSE PAPER SAILOR HATS WE ALL MADE AS CHILDREN, AS REAL HATS. I WILL DRAW AND POST THIS, NOT TODAY.
LINGERIE TOPS AND LITTLE BOY TEES ARE WHAT I FANCIED THIS LAST TIME AROUND TREASURE HUNTING, ALL IN GOOD TOM BOYISH FUN.
I SELECTED SOME PREVIOUS HIGHLIGHTED THRIFT STORE FINDS TO POST AS WELL BECAUSE I THOUGHT WHAT THE HELL!
So I know this style has been out for a while, but I didn’t have my blog til now right? So I need to touch on this jacket because it was a key player on this year’s runway. And it’s HOT now and forever more!
Okay, So I love it, right? Duh, everyone does. I mean anyone who can’t afford it would sell a left foot and a right pinky toe for it! So what can be more irksome than people who have it in all the different colors and NOT know how to WEAR it! Give that shit away! You don’t deserve to wear it! And so I won’t mention what Hollywood is wearing all the time in my blog I promise, but this needed to be said. It’s like they say with cars, “If you have a____ drive it like a f***ing ____!”
In the past months any mag I pick up is graced with some celeb wearing this gorgeous Balmain jacket, from beyonce to whom ever, to Rihanna… Rihanna… Oh Rihanna, she has had alot of press this year hasn’t she? good and bad, mostly bad, but isn’t she known as like a fashion icon or something? I don’t even wanna see the whole length of this. Wince. If you cannot discern what’s wrong here or strongly disagree, contact me on your own time we can talk about it. Four words… Pass- it- to- me. Sorry to be so rigid, but if you’re about style, be tough or get fuc’d.
Jennifer Connelly is the one woman I would change my sexual orientation for, I think. I have thought about this. Whenever guys would ask that stupid question ” which celeb would you do?” I would think for so long but reply no one I could not remember for the life of me, “who is that one female I think is really really hot all around?” There was someone. Its her.
So My homage to you, Jennifer Connelly. But in all seriousness, here is Hollywood that can WEAR it! Dammit!
(Although, in this one below, I can’t say I am completely enamored by the black and white gladiators with the dress..kind of off putting isn’t it?)

and clear the space for something new, but that’s when I knew it would be a major runway trend, when it struck a chord in me for so long.
I also want to mention (and then never again! I promise for my friends who have listened to me bitching about this one since bruno…) that I had a MAJOR inkling for the Dolce and Gabanna one dimensional circle dress trend in late 2007. I called it the Papier Doll collection I wanted to make it one day.. a dress flat like the paper dolls we used to play with in grade school with the white tabs? And then I saw a Bruno article with a clip when he’s crashing the catwalk and I saw the dress, and my heart stopped. That’s when I first decided I NEED to start putting my inklings on paper, and somehow get it out to the public… my sketch for that one is so discernibly bad I’m not even going to put it up, but I shared that idea with quite a few confidants, if you don’t believe me!

Shalom! Bienvenidos!
IT’S COMPARE & CONTRAST TIME!
In my Poppin’ My Blog Cherry post I delivered my newest inklings, one of which was the “Long Pants”
“The latter sketch: Idea behind this “Long Pants” one piece is EXAGGERATION. ACCENTUATION. FOCUS.
“Wearing Pants? Wear Pants. Who needs a top? It’s the Recession.”
The theme with the line if there was a line, would be focusing on articles of clothing, such as pants or a blouse or a Tee or a Hat, or Socks…whatever and exaggerating them to be wearable as a main piece.”
I came across Giles Deacon’s Giant scarf today, and I think it definitely ties to the theme in my inkling, although his line consists of the scarf alone, it embraces the idea of exaggerating, and accentuating giving focus to the scarf alone not as an accessory, but as the main focal point of an outfit. The way the model wears the giant scarf in the advertisement is so cute and precocious! I would not wear a top with the scarf either, I would LOVE to wear this to brunch!

I’m just going to dive right into this with my newest INKLINGS.

The first sketch I call “Full Circle Boots” made by ROCKET ALEXI (FASHION FUC’S designing alter ego)
These boots have extensions from the toes that create circles one from each foot, that touches on the shoulders of the wearer as they finish their rotation in the back at the heels.I could see this with a nude body suit, and a bright red cow boy hat.
COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC (for my twitters eventually)*** I feel a surge of a PRIMARY COLOR palette coming on the runway…and this week I’ve begun a predilection for RED ROSE FLORAL PRINTS.***
The latter sketch: Idea behind this “Long Pants” one piece is EXAGGERATION. ACCENTUATION. FOCUS.
“Wearing Pants? Wear Pants. Who needs a top? It’s the Recession.”
The theme with the line if there was a line, would be focusing on articles of clothing, such as pants or a blouse or a Tee or a Hat, or Socks…whatever and exaggerating them to be wearable as a main piece.
I want to note that the head dress does not belong as part of this piece, it off puts the balance of the simplicity of this one “Long Pants”.
I got lazy, and I had this big intricate headdress inkling daunting me for several weeks …so I just added it here to note it. Chanel did something I would see as similar for 2010 spring I believe?
I’m going to COMPARE AND CONTRAST Runway with my INKLINGS when I catch them.
If I see that an INKLING has already been done in the current season, I will definitely note where I see it. When I see that it has predicted a future trend, I will go back and bring the sketch up and compare it.
II. Marilyn Minter Photography= HOT SEX!!!!

Marilyn Minter ( Green Pink Caviar ) for Bright Pink presents this cotton totebag exclusively at Intermixonline.com for $48.
I’m not a huge fan of the style of the tote bag itself, but Minter+bag= sexy AT THE LEAST.
III. One of my Get Ups…
I. All Hail Nicholas Varney! He put a spell on me…

I first saw this ring in a Harper’s Bazaar last year and I knew I was in love. This is the only ring I would accept in a wedding proposal. Nicholas Varney makes his jewelry look so organic, naturally beautiful, Bling is dead. I Love it.I praise the understatement, the silent grace and natural shine. When someone can make a ring that can be worn like a Ring Pop to the grocery store with a fur coat, sneakers and a head sweatband and not have anyone supecting its more than a cracker jack ring, when in reality its over 12,000 dollars? That’s just Nucking Futs! Looking at it makes my mouth water and my heart melt a little.
II. Let’s Talk Origami!

At the close of 2008 and early this year one of my strongest inklings started. They were of origami like, puzzle- like pattern made clothing so I want to back up and do a compare and contrast. When I first saw Lady GaGa’s Origami Dress my mouth dropped at the similarity. And winced at the execution of the dress… it doesn’t fit her body type(and what is with the shoes). I read at the time that it was her own design, which was really hard for me to believe. I had never predicted… pop star designed clothing.
Today I google-d the dress to get a picture for this here blog, and found a side by side comparison of Lady GaGa’s dress to designer Thierry Mugler’s dress. That’s more like it. I like it on the model. Thierry’s makes sense.
I really didn’t think I would see Origami dresses on the runway… but then again I never think I’ll see my inklings come to fruitation in someone else’s line either so… here are my sketches. Enjoy!

III. SHOW AND TELL: Pretty beaded Lizards
I was really feeling lizard jewelry this summer and in August I was visiting the Village Fest in Palm Springs, CA and got this gorgeous handmade beaded necklace …
